Theresa Pfarr currently lives and works in Philadelphia, PA. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she earned a Bachelors Degree with a concentration in painting from the University of Cincinnati, College of DAAP in 1998. In 2004 she completed a Master of Fine Arts degree at Virginia Commonwealth University and received the Joan Mitchell Grant nomination. While obtaining her MFA degree she taught basic painting and advanced painting courses. She has also attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia as a Post-Baccalaureate student. Exhibits include group exhibits at the F.U.E.L. House in Philadelphia, Stephen Stux Gallery in New York City, SCA Contemporary Art in Albuquerque, NM and ADA Gallery in Richmond, Va, and a solo exhibit at City Art Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is currently represented by Modern Arts Midwest in Lincoln, NE andCarbon 14 in Philadelphia. She has been a resident artist at the RAIR program in Roswell, New Mexico, the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Vermont Studio Center and the Jentel Artist Residency Program. She is a 2006 Puffin Foundation Grant recipient.
